The Africore Group of companies is a constellation of entities that carry our desire of partaking meaningfully in the economic revolution taking place, albeit chequered, in South Africa. Since the advent of democracy and the demise of apartheid our country’s economic landscapes has changed. Africans are participating in mainstream economic activities ranging from consulting, mining, property development, catering, aviation, international trade etc. Government is fuelling and cradling this tide and perhaps inadvertently creating a sheltered economic revolution. At Africore we are braving the cold winds and slowly trying to stand outside, as entrepreneurs, and do that we would have done had it not been for apartheid and its limiting effects. We are striving to fulfil our destinies, regardless of the challenges abound in the private sector.
We have drawn form our own strengths to build the Africore Group from nothing into an edifice that will stand the test of inclement economic weather; and that will constantly beacon the future. As business activists for democracy we have distinguished ourselves in the business of delivering sound electoral systems to buttress good governance. We have enjoyed numerous opportunities in our several careers to build national organisations that still stand firm today. We have pioneered ways of using technology for the benefit of many people and institutions. During our NGO days, we pioneered youth development programmes, and have kept the desire and spirit to work with the youth, and to bring them into the mainstream economy. As people, we love and believe in the sanctity of peaceful co-existence of the human race, of all ages.
We are proud of our “Humanity” entrepreneurial projects. We do this because we know that humanity is not about helping out through kindness, but a course that can create untold wealth, materially and spiritually. Our “Humanity” business projects derive from our belief that humanitarian activities should self-sustain and not be in existence because of grants and general kindness. Humanity should be a business centre competing with others, and touching all our lives, daily. Our passion for visual arts can be seen in our art collection, our expression of elevating human creativity into a viable business venture, so that where creativity comes from should be a rich field of dreams, trials and successes.
We strongly believe that our business activities should spawn from our passions. Work should be fun and thus pursued incessantly, and with vigour. We also tailor our work to create an adventure, an undertaking that absorbs us, improves us, and challenges us. Work is lighter if it is an act of love, not of compulsion. We are professionals and intellectuals seeking knowledge through our business projects. We consider ourselves pioneers in our business approach. For instance, our GSM interest is about bridging the gap between technology and the human race. Of what use are all these technological tools and implements if the human race cannot fully utilise them?
Guided by values of passion for our work; professionalism; humanitarianism; intellect; integrity; adventure; and our relentless pursuit to construct a lighthouse and a foundation for future African generations, we have chosen to be involved in these business areas, viz.:
- Electoral management and organisational development (consulting and advisory services);
- Visual arts;
- The “Humanity” projects;
- Hospitality and Leisure;
- Property Development (construction of lifestyle developments, shopping centres and malls);
- The GSM Mobile Mentor project;
- Rail Engineering and consulting; and
- Investment holdings.
We are South African born, and work throughout the world.
